History

Keith is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The KEG Group, LLC.

Founded in 2001, The KEG Group, LLC. specializes in non-profit foundation

planning and support services for today’s professional athlete, as well as small to midsize 501(c)3 organizations. They also provide grant writing for non-profit organizations, and in particular, smaller organizations that need assistance in grant writing, but cannot afford to hire a full-time staff person. The KEG Group, LLC also does event planning and 501(c)3 certification.

A graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio in the area of Public

Relations and master’s graduate from The University of Akron in Higher

Education Administration, Mr. Green began his grant writing career with The

LINK Program at Cleveland State University. Mr. Green also obtained positions with other institutions of Higher learning including, John Carroll University, Mount Union College and The University of Akron.

 

In 1999, Mr. Green took the position of Director of Development for The Salvation Army of Summit County, Akron, Ohio. During his tenure, Mr. Green was charged with all aspects of development including, grant writing, event planning, fund raising, prospecting and direct mail. By having this position with The Salvation Army, solidified his commitment to utilize his grant writing, and overall development skills in the non-profit arena.

During 20 years of nonprofit experience, it is estimated that Mr. Green has raised over $2.5 million dollars in charitable contributions and has an estimated funding rate of 65%. Mr. Green is sure that he could have raised much more, however most of his focus is on the smaller start up non-profits that tend to need assistance with basic grant proposals.

Mr. Green believes in community involvement that is why he has been involved with community wide boards which includes, The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Legacy III, Akron Pregnancy Services and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Mr. Green has been married 2 years to Pat, and resides in Dundee, OH.
